Musical works on which I am working are always accompanied by several paintings. There are rhythms, colours, structures, the density of the material, which for me correspond with the music and give me the breadth I need for the inward and outward development of the created sounds. As Kandinsky described it: ‘… colours and shapes as a means of expressing inner values and spiritual states in the sense of a synaesthetic theory similar to the emotional states evoked by sounds in music …’”
